Manage Your Audio File

Step 1:

Prepare Your MP3 Audiobook Files

Ensure all MP3 files of your audiobook are appropriately named and organized in a folder. (Audiobooks from Book-Flicks should be ready to go!)

Step 2:

Choose Your Audiobook Software

Decide which audiobook software you want to use (e.g., iTunes, OverDrive, Book Player, etc.).

Step 3:

Import MP3 Audiobook to Itunes (or other software)

  1. For iTunes:
  1. Open iTunes:
  2. Launch the iTunes application on your computer.
  3. Add MP3 Files to Library:
    • Click on “File” in the top menu.
    • Select “Add to Library” or “Import.”
    • Navigate to the folder where your MP3 audiobook files are stored.
    • Select the MP3 files and click “Open.”
  4. Organize Files:
    • Go to the “Books” section in iTunes.
    • Find your newly added MP3 files and right-click to select “Get Info.”
    • Under the “Options” tab, set the media kind to “Audiobook.”
    • Sync with Your Device:
      • Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to your computer.
      • Click on the device icon in iTunes.
      • Go to the “Books” tab and ensure “Sync Audiobooks” is checked.
      • Click “Apply” to sync the MP3 audiobook files to your device.
    • For OverDrive:
      • Download and Install OverDrive:

         

      • Download and install the OverDrive app from your app store if you haven’t already.
    • Open OverDrive:
      • Launch the OverDrive app on your device.
    • Add MP3 Files:
      • Open the menu and select “Files.”
      • Navigate to the folder where your MP3 audiobook files are stored.
      • Select the MP3 files and import them into OverDrive.

    Step 4:

    Access Your Audiobook

    1. Open App:
      • Open your audiobook app ( iTunes, OverDrive, etc.) on your device.
    2. Find Audiobook:
      • Navigate to your library or books section.

         

      • Locate your newly added MP3 audiobook.
    3. Start Listening:
      • Select the audiobook to start listening.

    Additional Tips:

    • File Organization: Keep your MP3 files well-organized and properly named for easier navigation.
    • Metadata: Ensure your MP3 files have correct metadata (title, author, etc.) for better organization within the app.
    • Backup: Always keep a backup of your audiobook files in case of data loss.
